Big IPA
The history of India pale ales dates back to the 18thcentury when British troops occupied India. Beer was made in England and sent to the stationed troops. Pale Ales were popular beers at the time and had to endure a six month journey to the distant country. Spoilage was common and one way to prevent the loss of beer was to add more hops to the existing recipe, which are an excellent natural preservative. The addition of more hops made pale ales stronger with a higher alcohol content. Basically, India Pale Ales are stronger over hopped versions of it?Ĵs cousin, the Pale Ale. The style has grown very popular in this country over the years and can be found all around. Our IPA is more aggressive than most with a high hop aroma. The taste is a true hop bomb. The IPA appears somewhat cloudy because it is unfiltered, leaving every bit of flavor in the glass. ABV 6.2%
Black Star
Black Star is CBC?Ĵs version of an Irish-style dry stout. Our nitrogen injected stout has a rich roasted malt flavor and is dark in color. Black Star is lightly hopped so that it coincides with the gentle bitterness created by the roasted barley. The finish is smooth, silky and creamy. ABV 4.5%
Old Town Brown
CBC?Ĵs medal winning old town brown is a German-style brown ale. This beer has a clean well rounded dark malt character which creates a mild chocolate aroma and flavor. Colder fermentation temperatures and long cellaring time makes our brown a truly smooth all round brew. ABV 4.6%
Ultimate Weiss
Ultimate Weiss is CBC?Ĵs Bavarian style hefeweizen. Our hefeweizen is made with a blend of German malted wheat and Munich two-row barley. This beer is served unfiltered so that the brewery yeast remains in solution. Hefeweizens are highly carbonated in which to bring out the abundance of fruit filled aromas. ABV 4.6%
Category: 51 German-Style Wheat Ale
2004 gold medal winner Great American Beer Festival in Denver
Blueberry Vanilla Wheat
CBC?Ĵs Blueberry Vanilla Wheat is a tasty change to the traditional weiss beers of Germany. Some argue that fruit doesn?Ĵt belong in beer, while others believe the two go hand in hand. The spicy blueberry and delicate vanilla flavor make for a truly refreshing alternative to the typical beer profile. An excellent substitute for breakfast, lunch, dinner or maybe even a midnight snack.
Red Rocker
Red Rocker is CBC?Ĵs North American Amber ale. A blend of three domestic and imported barley types are used to create it?Ĵs light ruby color. Grown in Yakima Valley, Washington, Glacier hops are used to lend an earthy, pine-like finish. ABV 4.5%
Weizenheimer Weizinbock - Seasonal
The German work Weizenbock translates to strong weiss or strong wheat beer. That?Ĵs right, it is a stronger version of CBC?Ĵs Ultimate Weiss. Weizenheimer is brewed with 50% wheat and a combination of caramel and darker German Munich barley malts. A subtle amount of German Northern Brewer and Perle hops are added to create a soft spice. And of course, what?Ĵs a true German weiss beer without the use of German weiss yeast ? That is why we choose to use Bavarian weiss yeast, which adds to the true authenticity of this beautiful brew. ABV 6.5%
Belgian Dubbel - Seasonal
CBC?Ĵs Belgian Dubbel has become a permanent addition to the line up of summertime specials. Belgian beers are a fairly new and diverse breed of beers to have been introduced to the U.S. market only within the past 50 years or so. We feel that our dubbel is a fine example of this particular style. The rich amber color is created using a blend of pale, Munich, crystal and chocolate malts which are responsible for the caramel and raison-like flavors. The selected yeast strain comes from a Trappist brewery in Belgium. The yeast left in suspension is responsible for the beautiful fruity eaters and spice filled aroma. Dubbels are lightly hopped so as not to mask the complexity and character the contributing malt and yeast.
